Jason Ellis, EIT

Jason Ellis is an Engineer in Training with 2 years technical experience. He graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering. His education helped with experience in California building codes and regulations, Safety awareness, Surveying, Communications, Environmental Quality Control, Steel and Concrete Design, Seismic Analyses, Shallow Foundations, Water and Wastewater Treatment, and Traffic Control. He specializes in the California Building Codes and Americans with Disabilities Act. He has experience in analyzing the Hazards and safety concerns of many different projects, where the safety of the workers and surrounding community had to be taken in to consideration. He has worked on projects that have had problems with the following issues; water drainage control, structural design, water hydraulics and settlement control. For his senior project, Jason was part of a large reconstruction project to rebuild a football stadium and surrounding parking lot for the San Luis Obispo High School. He was in charge of cost estimating the project and more importantly making sure the stadium and parking lot complied with ADA and CBC code. This is very important at the beginning of each project to establish a strong compliance with each code to make sure that the project does not have to be redesigned.
